Robert Henry Whittock of Centre Square, PA passed away on June 16, 2017 at home at the age of 81.
Born in Norristown on June 20, 1936 son of the late Henry and Mary Ella (Cassel) Whittock.
He was a member of the Ambler High School class of 1954 and employed as a Tool and Dye Maker at Budd Company, Hunting Park Plant, Philadelphia for 43 years until his retirement in 1997. Robert served in the Naval Reserve and was a member of St John Lutheran Church and belonged to Wissahickon Valley Historic Society, Centre Square Fire Co, and was a Whitpain Township Honorary Historian.
Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years Mabel (Nee Bernhard), children Linda Whittock Tourdot (Roger J., Jr), and Sharon Whittock Brunner (Robert) both of Blue Bell, PA. He is also survived by grandchildren Jeffrey Whittock Tourdot, Nicolle Elizabeth Tourdot, and Alyssa Maree Tourdot; and Jessica Marie Brunner, Robert Tyler Brunner and Zayne Andrew Brunner, and great grandchildren Raegan Maree Tobias and Nikolas Elijah Pettigrew. He was predeceased by a sister AnnaMae Whittock Siegle.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 12 noon at Boehm’s United Church of Christ, 571 Penllyn Blue Bell Pk, Blue Bell PA. Friends may call between 11am and noon. The service will be officiated by Rev Bill Middleton and Pastor Sarah Stobie.
Interment will follow the service, followed by a luncheon in the church hall.
