"Funerals are not to benefit the dead, but the living. They have a number of unparalleled therapeutic benefits. As a rite of passage, the funeral assists you in recognizing the passing of your loved one, supporting you as you start your life without the deceased, and reintegrating you back into the social group as a person whose loved one is no longer alive." ~ How to Go on Living When Someone You Love Dies by Therese A. A loss for the wonderful Ambler community in which I grew up.
My father, Dr. Albert Harrison, always spoke so fondly of Nan. She was so sweet and goodness knows, must have had the patience of an Angel…
Best wishes to all of her loving family.
I have fond memories of great conversations with Nan while waiting for my appointments with Doctor Harrison. She went to high school with my Uncle, James M. Gant, and knew both my grandparents. She often told me wonderful stories about 1940’s Ambler. It was always a pleasure to chat with her. She was a gem. My sincere condolences to her family.
Nan was so kind and welcoming to me when I joined the family. I will never forget her big smile and giving nature. I am so sorry for your loss.
Really going to miss you, Nan. You were so gracious and nice to me as a second cousin. And thank you for sharing all those Lapetina family stories over the years. Loved visiting you and Al almost every time we returned to PA to visit. Say Hi to Al for me. Love, Tony
